Meet Dr. McGregor

"Hello! I am proud to have provided high quality dental care here in Central Iowa since 1975! I practiced in Huxley until the fall of 2006. We are now open in Ankeny and are greatly enjoying our new facility. I am actually more excited now than ever about my dental career and the new and wonderful results that are available for my clients. There are new dental materials, techniques and modalities developing daily that provide more health, beauty, functionality and comfort than we have ever had available to us before. It is an exciting time, and I am very glad to be a part of this and to be of service to you.

Dr. McGregor received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Creighton Dental School in 1975. He grew up in the state of Nevada and attended California Western University in San Diego with an undergraduate degree in chemistry. In 1975 he opened his general dental practice in Huxley, Iowa, which has recently moved to Ankeny, Iowa. He has reared a family of five children, all of who were internationally adopted and are now functioning happily as young adults. He has been involved in the local community and served on the Ballard School Board.

He has taken extensive continuing education courses, most of which have served to augment the emphasis in his practice that he has made in the areas of oral surgery, endodontics (root canal therapy), restorative treatment and cosmetic dentistry. This further education has included many trips to the world famous Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He is considered to be an LVI Preferred Dentist and has participated in advanced cosmetic education courses. Less than 2% of all dentists have achieved this level of education in cosmetic dentistry.
